Drug Intervention

Denial is perhaps the biggest problem most addicts have to face. The addict typically things their problem is someone else’s problem and not their’s at all. The last one to realize they have a problem is the addict.

Drug intervention is not an easy task. Unless one is qualified and knows how to deal with the constant state of denial that can sometimes turn ugly or violent, an intervention can be futile at best. The trained and experienced interventionist will plan a strategic map based on the addict’s drug of choice. They can make a proper analysis of the problem and know best how to steer the user to an end where they might enter a drug rehab program.

drug addiction is an insidious problem that is hard to overcome. The addict has a hard problem to even realize and face up to their addiction. Too often the addict is completely unwilling to confront their true nature. An intervention may be the only tool to reach an addict and propel them forward into a drug rehab program.

Interventions vary depending on the user’s history. The interventionist will have the training and experience to understand the different approaches needed to handle addicts with cocaine abuse, meth abuse, alcoholism, heroin addiction, or other drug abuse. If someone has moved from the occasional user to a frequent user, they require a different approach. Family and friends are vital to a successful process. Most addicts care only about the next fix. They have no thought to the health and legal problems associated with their habit.
